Fabric Care

Washing

• Machine wash on cold
• Use a gentle cycle
• Use mild detergent
• Avoid bleach

Drying

• Tumble dry low
• Or air dry for best longevity
• Remove promptly to reduce wrinkles

Ironing

• Iron on cotton setting
• Use steam if needed
• Press, don't drag, to avoid distortion

Pre-Washing

Tilda states that pre-washing is optional, but many quilters prefer it. If pre-washing:

• Wash in cold water
• Dry on low heat
• Expect 2–3% shrinkage, normal for quilting cotton

Colorfastness

Tilda fabrics are printed with high-quality dyes, but like all quilting cottons:

• Wash like colors together
• Use a Color Catcher for the first wash if mixing lights and darks
