Return Policy
Our Commitment
We want you to love your fabric! However, as a small business, we have implemented the following return policy to help us maintain quality products and service for all our customers.
Return Window
Returns are accepted within 7 days of your delivery date. Items must be unused and in the same condition as when you received them, still in their original packaging.
How to Initiate a Return
Before sending any items back, please get in touch with us at helpdesk@thecottonandflannelco.com with:
Your order number
The item(s) you wish to return
Brief reason for the return
We will provide you with return instructions and a return authorization number.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your return. Shipping costs from your original order are non-refundable.
Items Eligible for Return
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
Uncut and unmeasured
Unwashed and unused
Free from odors (smoke, perfume, pets, etc.) and pet hair
In original packaging with all tags attached
Accompanied by proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
Cut fabric or yardage that has been measured and cut
Digital products, including downloadable patterns
Sale or clearance items
Fabric bundles or kits that have been opened
Items marked as "Final Sale"
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed within 3-5 business days to your original payment method. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with:
Photos of the damage or defect
Your order number
Description of the issue
We will provide a free replacement or full refund (including return shipping) for any items that arrive damaged or defective due to our error.
Wrong Item Shipped
If we ship you the wrong item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will provide a prepaid return label and send you the correct item at no additional cost.
Important Notes
Fabric Color Variation: Please note that fabric colors may appear slightly different on your monitor or device screen than in person. We make every effort to photograph our fabrics accurately, but screen settings vary. We recommend ordering swatches when color matching is critical.
Natural Variations: Fabric is a natural product and may contain minor imperfections that are considered normal in the industry. Small slubs, slight color variations within a bolt, or minor printing inconsistencies do not qualify as defects.
Pre-cut Fabric: All fabric yardage is cut fresh from the bolt upon order unless otherwise specified. Once fabric has been cut, it cannot be returned.
