About The Cotton and Flannel Co.

After 27 years as a healthcare specialist in foodservice, I did something that scared and excited me in equal measure: I retired to follow a dream I'd been carrying for years.

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of serving senior living communities, hospitals, and youth communities - work that taught me the value of quality, consistency, and genuinely caring about the people we served. Those same values are woven into every aspect of The Cotton and Flannel Co.

But here's what I know about dreams: if you don't chase them, you'll spend years wondering "what if?" I didn't want to look back a decade from now and wish I'd been brave enough to do this. So here I am.

I'm a tactile person - I need to feel the weight of fabric in my hands, run my fingers across the weave, appreciate the softness of quality cotton and flannel. If you're a quilter, a sewist, a maker, or simply someone who understands that the right fabric makes all the difference, you get it. That hands-on connection to materials is what drives every selection I make for this shop.

This isn't just about selling fabric. It's about helping people bring their creative visions to life with materials that feel as good as they look. After spending nearly three decades helping people, I'm simply doing it in a new way - one yard of beautiful fabric at a time.

Thank you for being part of my next chapter~ Tanya Engler
